Ghalegaun Tour - 5 days
Ghalegaun is situated at the height of 2100 m from the sea level. This village is popular for home stay, cleanliness and preserved and unspoiled culture of Ghale communities. This village is situated 108km northwest of Kathmandu and 125km northeast of Pokhara, Nepal. This beautiful tourist village is surrounded by Annapurna circuit. It is one of the wonderful places to visit village life of Nepali People as well as community life of Ghale tribes. Ghale is one of the indigenous communities of Nepal.
It is a newly opened village tourism destination in Nepal. Nepal Ghalegaun tour is now highly recommended for ‘’Visit Nepal Year 2020’’
Every villager has allocated clean, simple and comfortable rooms with basic facilities in their homes for tourists and visitors. Visitors can enjoy warm hospitality of local people and can enjoy freshly harvested vegetables along with the views of snow Pick Mountains.
Day 1: Kathmandu to Besisahar
This is first day of our departure for Ghalegaun. Have a scenic view on the way which will leave you speechless. It will take around 7 hours to reach Besisahar and from their either walk for 4 hours to can go directly on vehicle which will take 2 hours on road to Ghalegaun. Walking will be the best option as on the way we can enjoy spectacular view of Mt. Annapurna and Manaslu ranges in cluding local villages and beautiful hills. Upon arrival attained welcome programme organized by local women. Experience local Ghale cultural programme. Overnight at Ghalegaun local home stay.
Day 2: Ghalegaun to Bhujung
Early morning to enjoy sunrise we will go to local tower and also we can enjoy view of mountains like Annapurna, Mnaslu range and Lamjung Himal and get back to our home stay to have breakfast. Now you will begin your sightseeing tour of village with local guide. After sightseeing will return for lunch and will begin your hike to reach another Gurung village ‘’Bhujung’’ well known for wild Bee hunting. On the way you can enjoy Uttarkanya Temple and Tea Garden. You can explore and enjoy Bhujung. Overnight at Bhujung homestay.
Day 3: Bhujung to Khudi
On third day after breakfast will roam around Bhujung village and will further hike for 3.5 hours via Gahapokhara to Khudi. Were you can enjoy waterfall and cave. Khudi is small bazaar and gateway to Manag. It is located near Marshyangdi River. Overnight at Khudi.
Day 4: Khudi to Ghalegaun
Today after breakfast you will enjoy rest of the unexplored Khudi village and will return to Ghalegaun after which will take around 5 hours to reach Ghalegaun. Upon arrival, you can take rest till evening and can enjoy cultural programme organized by local Ghale tribe if interested (cost extra Rs.3500) overnight at Galegaun.
Day 5: Ghalegaun to Kathmandu
This is our departure day form Ghalegaun. After breakfast you can enjoy farewell ceremony organized by local community. You will have Lunch on the way at Beshisahar, and continue to Kathmandu. It will take 8 hours to reach Kathmandu.
